Final week of the Shred — mad how fast it goes. This one's all about setting you up for success and building on the eight weeks. It's not just how you finish strong, it's how you keep everything you've built.
Finishing strong — the honest truth
It'll probably take more than one fat-loss phase to get exactly where you want to be. The results this round have been unreal — but where you're heading is likely more than one phase away. I've seen people change their lives in 3-6 months of focused work, and the one thing that keeps them going is accountability.
We all have the knowledge now — AI has made information free. Accountability is what actually keeps you going.
The fork in the road
Every Shred ends at the same fork. Two paths:
- Path 1 — fade. Treat it as a finish line. Tracking stops, training gets inconsistent, social plans creep in, and before you know it you're back to the start — if not worse.
- Path 2 — level up. Treat the Shred as a springboard. Use it as a reset, transition into maintenance, then a performance phase or another fat-loss block. This is where the transformation becomes permanent.
This lecture is about making sure you take Path 2.
Reflect on the last eight weeks
Think about where you were 8 weeks ago — your routine, eating habits, how you felt in your clothes, your energy in training. Now look at today. You've built momentum, systems, awareness, structure. You've proven you can commit and build habits most people never sustain. That's a real win. Now keep the momentum rolling.
A star that shines twice as bright burns half as long. Consistency beats intensity. The people who keep the results learn to dial the intensity, not switch it off. You've proven you can dial it hard — now prove you can keep the results without becoming obsessed. That's a whole level of mastery.
Before the Shred ends — do these
- Don't drastically cut more thinking it'll squeeze out extra loss. It usually leads to worse results.
- Weigh yourself over the next few days.
- If you plan to keep dieting, message me on Telegram first — I want to set you up with a mini diet break before your next fat-loss phase.
- Take your final progress pictures. Same lighting, same time of day, same pose as week 1. Please get this done.
Post-Shred nutrition — the part most people get wrong
What do you do with your calories after the Shred? This is where progress is either consolidated or lost — and it's not down to discipline. It's down to having no clear strategy.
The stat that should scare you: 80-90% of people regain the weight they lost within 12 months. Weight loss is never the issue. Weight-loss retention is. The goal was never to sustain a deficit forever — that's the biggest mistake I see.
Most people end a diet by jumping straight back to old eating — a massive overshoot — and get a fat-regain rebound. We don't want that.
Longer isn't better
If you keep dieting, your body adapts: metabolism slows, energy output drops, training quality dips. Between roughly week 12 and week 16 of continuous dieting, adherence falls off a cliff and rebound risk climbs steeply. By week 16 most people are in chronic-dieting territory with a very high chance of rebound.
The fix right now is a reverse diet, then maintenance. Give your body the fuel to perform again and rebuild the metabolism.
Why we reverse & maintain
A lot of wins from doing this properly:
- Recover from the physical effects of dieting
- Recover from the mental effects
- Reduce appetite-stimulating hormones
- Increase appetite-suppressing hormones
- Increase thyroid hormone production
- Let muscle and connective tissue recover
- Prevent muscle loss
- Stop your metabolic rate dropping
- Decreased chance of rebound
And here's the kicker: you're still in a minor deficit through the reverse (two weeks max), so you're probably still losing a bit of fat while you do it.
How the ramp works (already done for you on your dashboard)
You don't need to calculate this — it's built into your tracker. But so you understand it:
- Say you're on 1,800 now. We bump up by roughly 300.
- Then add another 100-150.
- When your weight is stable, hold that intake for 2-4 weeks — that's your maintenance. (Your maintenance might land on the third weekly increase.)
- Stay at maintenance 2-4 weeks minimum before starting any new fat-loss block.
When we add calories, we add carbs first — energy, training output, recovery — plus a little fat for hormones. Protein stays the same.
Weight gain on the scale is normal — don't panic
The scale ticking up 1-2 kg during the reverse is not fat gain. It's glycogen, water, and food in your stomach. You'll notice strength climb, energy climb, sleep improve, mood stabilise — and the scale nudge up. That's you refuelling, not regaining.
Doing this properly prevents four things: feeling lost about next steps, entering chronic-dieting territory, feeling forced back to old habits, and it gives you a proper window of feeling energised.
How to diet forever — the loop
This is the whole long-term game in one diagram:
Maintain 2 wks → Hold 2-4 wks → Choose your goal → Run an 8-12 wk block → Back to maintenance → Repeat
Two weeks of maintenance now. Did you make progress? If yes — repeat with your new weight and pick the next goal. If no — we adjust the approach. Same loop whether the goal is fat loss or muscle gain. Maintain, hold, choose, run, repeat — until you're at your desired goal.
A body in motion stays in motion
I've got a tattoo of da Vinci's perpetual motion machine. A body in motion stays in motion; a body at rest stays at rest. The people who keep going after the Shred are the ones who never fall off again — they don't restart every Monday, they stay consistent year-round, because it's turned from a block into a lifestyle.
You have lifetime access
No matter what you decide next — you keep lifetime access to the full programme. Every lecture, every call, the Shred homepage, all the guides, and your own Drive with all your resources. None of it disappears.
Where the Shred ends and 1:1 begins
The Shred is a brilliant kickstart — but it's group coaching. Same plan for everyone, one check-in a week, group Q&A, no long-term roadmap, not built around your individual life. Most of the success stories start on the Shred and then go 1:1 after. And since it'll likely take more than one fat-loss phase to reach your goal, that's where the individual roadmap comes in.
£129/month — Shred graduate rate
Normally £149, and the price is going up soon. Works out about £29.70 a week — roughly the cost of a Friday takeaway. You keep that rate as long as you stay.
10-13 spots. 3 already gone, 2 more considering. First come, first served. You get a full roadmap planned around your life, individualised macros and training (kids, injuries, shifts, comps), a full video breakdown every week, and direct access to me. It's not hand-holding — real coaching builds you to stand on your own.
See the full breakdown → Book your call →Your final four things
- Send your final progress pictures — same lighting, time and pose as week 1.
- Keep updating your tracker.
- Be proud. You committed, you built habits — that's the win.
- Decide what's next. 1:1 or on your own — either way, book a call and I'll walk you through it. Even if you just want to chat about your next phase without going 1:1, I'll do that with you.
Written check-ins carry on this week, and I'll hang around next week too to check on you. You did the work. Now keep it. Check-ins Thursday and Friday — anything you need, you know where I am.
